Female Strength

A tour operator created, designed, and run by women.

Guatemala Tour and Travel is a company founded by two entrepreneurial women. “We began working in the tourism industry in 2004, and since then, our love and passion for this profession have only grown. Without a doubt, the most rewarding part throughout these years has been—and continues to be—making your travel dreams come true!” We became independent and started operations in 2019. Our team is made up entirely of women across all areas of the company—from our international sales office and reservations department to fieldwork positions such as archaeologists, female guides, chefs, and even women pilots. We specialize in women-focused travel: trips for mothers and daughters, groups of friends, or solo female travelers who wish to join other groups of adventurers. Bookings for women-led tours for women travelers have increased, as they provide a greater sense of safety, trust, and connection while traveling. We offer a variety of itineraries with activities specially designed for our female travelers from around the world.

Travel Tips

Guatemala covers an area of 108,889 square kilometers and has an estimated population of 17 million people. The climate generally features temperatures ranging between 18°C and 24°C (64°F to 75°F). The country is home to 37 officially registered volcanoes, three of which are active: Fuego Volcano (3,830 m / 12,566 ft), Pacaya Volcano (2,550 m / 8,366 ft), and Santiaguito Volcano (2,510 m / 8,235 ft). Guatemala’s diverse geography gives rise to various climate zones made up of numerous microclimates, which vary depending on altitude, proximity to the sea, and other factors. When traveling through Guatemala, Central America, or southern Mexico, it’s important to be prepared for different weather conditions due to these regional variations.
